Editorial standards
EABD News reports what happened, from primary sources, with a named person responsible for every story. These are the rules we work to.
Where stories come from
- Every story starts from a primary source: a regulator's notice, an exchange filing, a company statement, a court record or our own reporting.
- We never rewrite another outlet's story. Another report can be a tip that sends us to the source. It is never the source.
- Every story links to the sources behind its key facts.
- A story must add something the source lacks: context, an EABD figure, or a link to the businesses involved.
- Press releases are rewritten and attributed, never pasted.
- Market stories say what happened. They never say what to buy or sell.
How stories are checked
A person checks every fact against its source and decides whether to publish. Nothing is published automatically. Figures about businesses and places are counted from the EABD directory and dated.
How we use AI
We use AI to help draft stories from the sources we give it. It never decides what is published, and it is told never to invent figures, dates or quotes. A person checks every story before it goes live. How EABD news works
We do not publish AI-generated pictures of real people or events.
Pictures
Pictures come from press kits, our own photographers or licensed agencies, and are credited under the picture. We do not take pictures from other news sites.
Paid content
Sponsored posts are paid for by the business named on them. They are labelled at the top, listed under Partner content and kept apart from news reporting. A business cannot pay to appear in a news story, or to change or remove one.
Mistakes
When we get something wrong, we correct it and say so on the story. See our corrections
