EABD Sourcing

Tell suppliers what you need. Compare the quotes.

Describe the products or services you need once. Matching suppliers across East Africa send quotes you can compare side by side, and your business stays anonymous until you choose to share it.

How it works

  1. Say what you needAsk for products, services or both. "20 laptops for our Nairobi office", "office cleaning three times a week" and "CCTV supplied and installed" all work.
  2. Choose who can quoteFilter by brand, specifications, price, area served, credentials, ratings and more. You see how many suppliers match before you pay.
  3. Receive quotesMatching suppliers are notified at once. You hear about the first quote straight away and the rest in a digest.
  4. Compare and chooseCompare prices, timing, ratings and verified credentials side by side. Message suppliers privately and select the best.

For buyers

  • Your name and contacts are never shown to suppliers until you share them with one of them.
  • Only paid, matching suppliers are invited, and poorly rated ones are left out.
  • Every quote is priced line by line, with totals in KES including VAT where declared.
  • No quotes? Your fee comes back as sourcing credit.

For suppliers

  • Requests that match your products, services and areas. These are real buyers, not cold leads.
  • Quote from your catalogue in minutes: your items and prices are filled in.
  • Choose categories, countries and a minimum order value, or pause any time.
  • Win work and collect verified reviews from the buyers who chose you.

Questions

Who can request quotes?

Businesses with a paid EABD profile. You choose which of your businesses is asking, describe what you need, and matching suppliers are invited.

What does it cost?

A request costs KES 1,000 and sending a quote costs KES 200, paid by M-Pesa or card. You get an invoice and a receipt. If nobody quotes on your request, the fee comes back as sourcing credit.

Do suppliers see who I am?

No. Suppliers see your industry and town, your EABD plan and the year your business joined, and how many of your past requests you awarded to a supplier. Never your name or contacts. Phone numbers, emails and links are removed from what you write. You decide if and when to share your details with one supplier.

Can I ask for services, not just products?

Yes. Ask for goods (laptops, cement, uniforms), for work (cleaning, installation, consulting, transport), or both in one request. CCTV cameras supplied and installed is a good example.

How are quotes ordered?

By default quotes are ordered by value and trust, and you can sort by best value, lowest total, fastest or rating. Our "How we rank" page explains what counts. Payments to EABD can never lift a weak supplier above a strong one.

Which suppliers are invited?

Paid suppliers whose products or services, areas and credentials match your filters. Suppliers with poor ratings or who rarely answer are not invited. You see how many match before you pay.
